Green Mountain CrossFit focuses on developing ten essential aspects of fitness: Endurance (cardiovascular and respiratory), Stamina, Strength, Flexibility, Power, Speed, Coordination, Agility, Balance and Accuracy. We train these qualities into our bodies by employing high intensity, short duration workouts that vary daily, and use real-world movements.

When you sign up for CrossFit classes you are making a commitment to improving your health, and we will reward that commitment by providing personalized coaching tailored to your unique goals and individual levels of fitness. We will help you learn proper movement mechanics and design focused, effective workouts for you on a daily basis.

Our workouts are done as groups so that motivation and camaraderie can help us excel. Every workout is designed to be scaled and customized to your unique level of strength, flexibility and conditioning. And all of our exercises are based on functional movements that are fundamental to life.

The basic tenets of CrossFit are constantly varied functional movements performed at high intensity.

Constantly Varied

There is a different workout to perform EVERY DAY. This is referred to as the Workout of the Day or W.O.D. Routine is the enemy - variety works!

Functional Movements

These may include multiple variations of Gymnastic Exercises, Bodyweight Calisthenics, Plyometrics, Olympic Weightlifting, and Metabolic (Cardiovascular) Conditioning. We concentrate on complex, full-body movements that are athletic in nature.

High Intensity

Simply put, most of the CrossFit exercises/movements require a consistent, coordinated, powerful execution of force (Power = Work÷Time).
